Rajo Driver app privacy policy

Rajo Driver is a private workforce application. It is used only by drivers who have an active dispatch relationship with RAJO Transportation. It is not a consumer app, it contains no advertising, and it does not sell data to anyone, ever.

The app collects the device's precise location, including while the app is closed or not in use. This is the core function of the app: dispatch needs to know where a truck is in order to give a customer an honest ETA, to detect arrival and departure at a stop, and to record the miles a driver is paid for.

Background collection runs only while a driver is signed in. It stops when the driver signs out. While it is running, Android displays a persistent notification - the app cannot collect location in the background without that notification being visible.

Sampling adapts to movement: frequently while driving, roughly every two minutes while parked, and less often off duty. Positions are queued on the device when there is no signal and uploaded when connectivity returns, so a dead zone does not create a gap in the record.

• Photographs and documents you capture or select - bills of lading, proofs of delivery, scale tickets, lumper and fuel receipts, damage and inspection photos. The camera and photo library are accessed only when you choose to capture or attach something.
• Messages you send to and receive from dispatch, including any files attached to them.
• Load and dispatch activity - stop arrivals and departures, status updates, and inspection records you submit.
• Device and account information - device model, operating system version, app version, and a push notification token used to deliver dispatch alerts.

• It does not sell or rent personal data to any third party.
• It contains no advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• It does not read your contacts, call log, or personal messages.
• It does not collect location while you are signed out.

Solely to run the freight operation: dispatching and tracking loads, producing customer ETAs, matching documents to loads for billing, calculating driver settlements, supporting safety and compliance obligations, and communicating with you about work.

Location and status information is shared with the customer or broker whose freight you are hauling, because they are entitled to know where their shipment is. Documents are shared with the parties to that shipment for billing and proof of delivery.

Service providers who operate the platform infrastructure - hosting, mapping and routing, telematics, and push notification delivery - process data on our behalf under contract and may not use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose data where required by law, subpoena, or a safety investigation, or to establish or defend a legal claim - for example a cargo claim or an accident review.

Operational records - location history, documents, messages and settlement data - are retained for as long as required by federal motor carrier recordkeeping rules and by tax and audit obligations, and then deleted or anonymised.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls limiting visibility to authorised staff. Authentication tokens are held in the device's secure storage, not in ordinary app storage.

Location permission can be revoked at any time in the device settings. Doing so does not delete data already collected, but it stops further collection - and it will stop background tracking working, which is a condition of dispatch, so tell your dispatcher if you revoke it.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, contact us using the details below. Deletion requests are honoured except where a record must be retained under motor carrier, tax, or legal-hold obligations.

The app is for licensed commercial drivers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify drivers in the app before the change takes effect.
